On this Earth Day, I ask that each person who sees this steps outside, or looks outside their window, just for a moment.

Take the time out of your day to just feel the world around you. Hear the birds between the revs of cars and bustle of life, sees the trees or plants that stretch towards the sky, see the clouds or the clear blue above. Feel the rain or the sun or the wind on your skin.

No phone. No thoughts. Just feel.

Watch a documentary, even if its just a short clip of one on youtube, about some other part of the world, some animal you've never heard of, some plant that you never would have thought of. Recognise that there is so much beauty out there that you've never even considered.

For a brief moment, just connect to nature and care. Do not allow that care to turn to fear or anxiety, do not let yourself be lost to the hopelessness because hopelessness is useless. Instead, turn that care into hope, into a desire to do better, into a burning fire to keep the Earth alive.

Research one thing, just one thing, that you can do to live more sustainably. Doesn't matter if it's creating a whole new compost pile in your garden, or using a reusable water bottle. Find ways to fight back - voting, calling representatives, volunteering.

Find a local community - birdwatching, gardening, foraging, farmer's market, mutual aid. Whatever. Jump in to it with both feet and meet imperfect people who are trying, just like you and build the community you need.

Connect, not just to the world around you, but the people within it and find hope for a better future for our planet.

maybe its because of the strikes. maybe its the sudden surge of ai art in the music industry. maybe its just the music im listening to rn. but im thinking about it now and we really need to do something. we need to do more. more people should strike and more often. strikes are supposed to be disruptive, so disrupt. we as a society need to stop thinking of anything generated by ai as 'art'.

we need a revolution. these disruptions, this working as a community isnt working -- not well enough. im so proud of the writers for making a deal, but that isnt working for everyone. just look at the teachers! the nurses!

we need to throw the molotovs. remove people from seats of power they dont deserve, distribute the wealth. start taking 'eat the rich' seriously.

Long Loading Times on YouTube Videos?

for my Firefox-using followers who may have noticed that Youtube now takes 8 years to load a video, it's because they're in bed with Google and intentionally making videos take an extra 5 seconds to run on anything but chrome

the solution? firstly, disable cookies so they can't see if you're using an adblocker or anything of the sort

second, install this add-on:

and then to set it up, here's what you do

select Extensions in the top right corner, looks like a little puzzle piece

select User-Agent Switcher and Manager

it'll pull down the menu below, make sure chrome is selected in the top left box and whatever OS you're running

delete existing text in the box at the bottom of the menu, then select the button for the latest version of chrome

the agent ID will appear in the box, then you just click Apply(containter) at the bottom right

Youtube should load with zero issues after that

So far, I still don't know how I feel about Boise, ID. Nauseous, scared, cautious, and uneasy. But the food is really good and so far the people have been nice. I've had 2 instances already at grocery stores where the cashiers were really sweet or just really tired and gave me stupidly good discounts on food.

Which I do need at the moment but it's just incredibly heartwarming to me that people still do that for each other. Even if the reason might be apathy. I love you cashiers I love you public servants I will never forsake you. I will never, ever rat you out, I didn't see anything and I appreciate you.

It was between them and the family adventure park, and on Dean to convince the financer, Rich, to fund the money-sink of a blind horse rescue.

After a tour of the farm they clustered around the kitchen table. Dean paged through budgets, blueprints of new outbuildings, program plans for some small revenue. Cas' knee knocked against Dean's to stop it bouncing.

Rich sat back, looking around with long consideration, then pinned his eyes on Dean and Cas.

"You're together," he said. So flat and plain that Dean struggled to respond.
